Dub FX and Woodnote will present the two-hour music-visual project Open Secret Society in Bratislava in a few days!
On Friday, October 3rd, Bratislava’s MMC will transform into an epicenter of energy, rhythm, and positive vibes. The special club edition of the Uprising festival will feature Australian phenomenon Dub FX – a world-renowned street performer and beatbox master who has made his way from street busking to the world’s biggest festival stages.
He will be coming to Slovakia with his long-time musical partner, British saxophonist Woodnot. This duo is known for their captivating live performances that mix dub, reggae, hip-hop, electronics, and jazz into a unique musical experience. Fans can look forward to a two-hour musical-visual experience full of heavy beats, melodic vocals, and dynamic brass arrangements. Dub FX and Woodnote will present their new project Open Secret Society – a movement emphasizing unity, openness and the power of music to change established conventions. Dub FX will bring American artist Prezence as a special guest.
The strong program of this club festival will also be complemented by the Slovak scene. Ley Lofaj, one of the most outstanding discoveries of the talent competition The MAG Wrap, will take the floor. The multi-talented rapper and beatmaker from northern Slovakia will enchant with his original sound, unbridled energy and creative expression, which combines the old with the new, the serious with the funny and the traditional with the unconventional.
The charismatic singer Ormay from Zambia will also take the stage, and with her dance group, she will perform a show full of rhythm, movement and African temperament.
The evening will be opened by a pair of seasoned selectors DJ Simple Sample & Pokyman, who will reliably warm up the audience. The conclusion will belong to the award-winning Czech producer and DJ MikkiM. He brings packed sets full of jungle, bass and drum’n’bass, for which he received the Anděl music award. MikkiM also became the first Czech DJ at the Glastonbury Festival.
