The absolute legend of Drum & Bass is heading to Uprising – Andy C!
Uprising Festival is announcing another iconic name for its 19th edition. The holder of over 40 awards including Best British DJ and Best Bass DJ, with a career spanning 35 years and a tour schedule that makes rock bands look like part-time artists. We’re talking about a phenomenon like Andy C! This DJ and producer is more than just a festival headliner – he’s a living icon with a career full of incredible milestones, having managed to sell out the entire Wembley Arena in a matter of days and whose set at BBC Radio 1 Hackney Weekend in 2012 was watched online by more people than Jay-Z or Rihanna.
Andy C regularly dominates the main stages of festivals such as Creamfields, Glastonbury, EDC, Boomtown and SW4. In addition to his active DJing, Andy C is also the owner and central figure of the Ram Records label. Under his leadership, Ram Records has grown into one of the most respected independent labels in the world, shaping the careers of headliners such as Chase & Status, Wilkinson and Sub Focus.
His signature set is the guarantee of exclusive tracks that no other DJ has. This constant search, digging and signing of new music ensures not only a unique live experience for fans, but also a continuous supply of talent for Ram Records. Despite 35 years of non-stop touring, Andy C maintains an extraordinary work ethic, spending hours preparing and mixing before each set.
