A living legend and founder of Mediterranean reggae is heading to Golden Sands – the charismatic Jo Corbeau! The French singer with Armenian roots has been involved in music since the late 1960s, but his breakthrough came after he attended a Bob Marley concert. He founded the cult Massilia Sound System and recorded the unofficial anthem of the Olympique Marseille football club.
“Baba Jo” found a second home years ago in our neighbors in the Czech Republic, where he collaborates intensively with the local reggae and hip-hop scene. Alongside selector Boldrik, Cocomana, and names like Zverina and James Cole, he mixes classic roots reggae with bold experiments and dancehall.
Jo Corbeau will celebrate his incredible 80th birthday this year and is living proof that the elixir of youth exists. Come and enjoy his incredible energy and a show full of surprises!
