Ras Muhamad & Tóke

Hailing from Indonesia, Ras Muhamad is a representative & an ambassador for his country’s Reggae music. It is one of his mission to accomplish & establish an international relationhip between Reggae artists worlwide… from Jamaica to Indonesia.

With a strong musical background & knowledge that he learned during his decade-long stay in New York City, “the Ras” wants Indonesian music, specifically its urban music, to be exposed to its neighboring countries & be equally respected by the western hemisphere. Pushing the Indonesian Urban Sound light years ahead, Ras Muhamad is accompanied by HipHop Produceer WIZ, for its Grand sound & Wizardry in the mixing board & productions.

Now, Ras Muhamad is a producer and also a host for Jamaican Sound program in local radio: Mustang 88 FM.

The Budapest Riddim Band was formed in the fall of 2007 by the four young talented musicians. The most famous backing band of this part of Europe has incredible and natural talent to play with any musician and their long list of collaboration just proves it.

Tóke is currently one of the most promising rising talents of German reggae scene. Like the gecko of the same name in his native country, Tóke, who was born in Jakarta and grew up near Hamburg. On his six-track debut EP “Troddin ‘With A Vision” Tóke processes themes such as the colonial past, prevailing social norms, personal self-doubt and, not least, the burning love of music with an intense mixture of reggae, soul and acoustics.
